Background
We’ve worked with Satterley for a number of years creating lifestyle and community videos for their masterplanned estates, so when the team approach us to capture the 2022 Telethon home and make a video on Satterley’s contribution to the cause, we couldn’t wait to get stuck in.
Telethon is a WA charity that hosts a yearly 26 hour fundraising event to help the most vulnerable and disadvantaged children. In 2021, Telethon raised over sixty million dollars and the plans for 2022 are even bigger.
Each year Telethon auctions off a home, with 100% of proceeds going to help sick kids – an incredible initiative! Nigel Satterley has partnered with Telethon for over fifty years and for the past forty years, Satterley has donated the land for the Telethon home.
Video Production Plan and Execution
Our brief was to capture the 2022 telethon home located at 20 Rapallo Grove, in Seaside Estate, Madora Bay, show off the beautiful design by the award winning team at Home Group and use it as a backdrop to outline the strong partnership between Satterley and Telethon.
The home is simply stunning, fantastic design in both building an interior by Home Group has created a beach inspired, modern family home with all the luxuries. It’s now available for inspection and sale will occur during Telethon 2022.
This shoot was a bit different than most. Not only were we creating a five minute story video, but we also had to shoot, edit and deliver footage of the home to channel seven. The LP Visuals team was committed to another project earlier on the day, so we only had two hours to shoot, edit and deliver the 2022 telethon home video – a tough challenge!
But we were ready for it. With some quick filming, even quicker editing and luckily some quick internet we got everything over to Channel 7 ready for broadcast at 6pm. We’re incredibly proud to have played a very small part in promotion for the 2022 Telethon home and can’t wait to see how much it sells for.
